Pakistan Issues Two Holidays in Pakistan


Notification issued for two weekly holidays
ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Friday issued the notification for two weekly holidays in public sector, while the State Bank of Pakistan has also declared two offs a week for the banks operating in the country,
ARY NEWS reported. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior here, two weekly holidays would be take place in the government offices with immediate effect. The new office timing for government employees would be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, it added. The new office timings for the public servants will be implemented from April 26. The notification also stated that there would be a two-hour break from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm for Friday prayers. Meanwhile, the State Bank of Pakistan also announced two weekly holidays for SBP and all commercial banks operating in the country. Banks will now remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays both. The four provincial governments, city and district governments, corporations and higher education institutes are also notifying two weekly holidays for their respective employees as per the decision of the federal government, the channel added.
